HELP BUILD THE ADVERTISER DATABASE
The advertiser database is the area where we pool our
knowledge about the companies that feed money to keep
the ScumWare businesses alive.
You can help us to build this database
by submitting any new spottings of advertisers that
should be informed of the damage they are doing to all
of us and to their own reputations on the Net. Once
they hear what they really have contracted for, most
are mortified and immediately pull their support by
canceling their agreement with the Pay-Per-Click search
engines or affiliate management company operating the
merchants affiliate program.
Through
this type of educational effort we have all but eliminated
the money available to keep the ScumWare developers
alive. The advertisers have been misled or outright
lied to by the sales people at the affiliate management
company of the Pay-Per-Click engines. It is not necessary
to harass the advertisers, but rather to educate them
so that they can make an informed decision to do the
right thing.
As in the case with iLookup by Ezula,
when you see a new keyword being Scummed, please let
us know to add it to this database. You can determine
which PPC engine is involved simply by looking at the
URL showing in the task bar before you actually click
on the Scummed link.
The advertiser is simply the web site
you wind up visiting when you click on the Scummed link.
Sometimes upon clicking the Scummed link you wind up
at a page with a blue bar at the top and a list of advertisers
to choose from. In that case enter "List"
in the field for PPC Engine. A Staff Member will do
some additional investigation.
When you are at an advertiser's web site,
please look around for "Contact Us" or "About
Us" information so you can enter the information
about the advertisers and the two most likely managers
or executives for our Members to contact by letter,
phone and email to educate them about the poor image
they project by dealing with ScumWare conspirators.
If you contact any companies listed here,
please send us a description of the contact and any
decision the company indicated they would make. Include
the person talked to and the name of the company. We
will format the information and update the company's
data record.
Thank you all for your dedication and
efforts in this campaign. We are gaining ground daily
and we will win this battle to protect our very right
to exist on the Internet.

spottings, updated company information or other related
information, please visit our Scumware forum.
